While our official name remains Boettcher Hlavinka Company, we now go by BHC—a simplified name that maintains our legacy and reflects the way our clients and community have referred to us for years.

Founded in 1939, Boettcher Hlavinka Company has been a cornerstone of residential and commercial construction for over 85 years. What started as a lumber and mercantile store, transitioned into an International Harvester dealership, both of which continue to operate today. Today, the BHC team is proud to operate from the original location—now thoughtfully renovated to support our continued growth.
As a second-generation family business, BHC grew from its roots as a local lumber yard into a full-service contracting company. Many of the homes that still stand in our community today were proudly built by the original Boettcher Hlavinka Company. Now in its third and fourth generations, the Hlavinka family continues to carry that legacy forward, ensuring our dedication to clients and community remains as strong as ever.
